- 01No. If you have been to the Seminar before, you will not be accepted again. This is because we want to educate many crew members as possible. We want the maximum number of crew members to experience Cruise Seminars. If you have been to the Cruise Seminar, please tell your colleagues about what you have learned. Remember, you can contact us at any time with questions.
- 02Yes! The seminar pays for travel, accommodation and food for the seafarer/participant. The seminar pays for accommodation and food for family members but they need to pay for their own travel.
- 03Yes, you can bring your family. Only immediate family members are allowed. Here is our policy on room sharing: Family of four (2 adults and 2 children under 12 years) will share one room. Family of four (2 adults and 2 children over 12 years) will share one room with an extra bed. Families with more than four members will share two rooms (parents and their children). Your family do not need to attend the seminar during the day but there is lots of information you will receive that you might want to share with them. Please note, family members need to pay for their own travel.
- 04The seminar pays the travel costs of the seafarer/participant. You must pay for travel costs of your family. Accommodation and food costs for both the seafarer and the family are paid by the seminar.
- 05Participants traveling alone will share a room with another participant. Single participants with a partner (boyfriend/girlfriend) will be allocated one room. Single participants bringing parents will be allocated one room with an extra bed.
- 06Yes. We have events for participants and families. You will also get some free time to hang out and do your own thing.
- 07Your application will be added to a waiting list. Once the all applications have been received, the unions will meet and select participants to attend the seminar. They will choose participants to make sure there is a good mix from different cruise lines and from different departments. If your application is successful, someone from the team will contact you to arrange travel and accommodation. If your application is not successful, we will send you an email to tell you as soon as possible.
